Beverage alcohol intelligence

Nearly every new bottle files paperwork before it hits a shelf.
We read it first.

Label Scout checks the federal label registry every night and tells you which brands are actually new, who's behind them, and how to reach them. Your team gets in the door while competitors are still waiting for a press release.

No contract to start. We'll run a live search on your category during the call.

The government registry is public.
It's also a mess.

Before any spirit, wine or malt beverage can be sold across state lines, its label has to be approved by the TTB. That makes the registry the earliest public signal of what's coming to market.

But raw approvals aren't leads. The same brand shows up under different spellings. Importers change. Old brands get new labels. Most "new" filings aren't new brands at all, and nobody has time to sort through thousands of them a month.

We do the sorting. You get the short list.

How it works

Four ways Label Scout pays for itself

One archive, updated every night, pointed at the questions that make you money.

Scout

Find new brands the week they're approved

A weekly short list of first-seen brands in your categories and states, with duplicates, renamed brands and reshuffled importers already filtered out.

  • Filter by category, state, applicant or permit
  • Weekly email or spreadsheet
  • Flags for new companies and new importers
Reach

Know who to call

Each lead comes with the details printed on the label and the filing: who produced it, who bottled it, who imports it, plus the brand's website and social accounts when they're printed.

  • Producer, bottler and importer, separated
  • Website, email and social pulled from the label
  • Full filing history for every company
Watch

See competitors' moves before launch day

Track any company, brand or keyword. When a competitor files a new flavor, age statement or line extension, you hear about it that week, before it ships.

  • Alerts on companies, brands or words
  • Line extensions vs. brand-new names
  • Category trend reports
Name check

Check a name before you fall in love with it

Before you spend on design, see every similar name already approved in your category and how crowded your naming words are.

  • Similar-name search across all categories
  • "How generic is this?" scoring
  • Written report you can hand to counsel
